Sadly, her owners passed away, and she needs a new family to love her for the rest of her life! Luna was actually born right here at Father John's in 2021! We had taken four pregnant momma dogs from a hoarding case and she was one of 35 puppies born here.
Our Already Adopted Cats
He may appear shy at first, but the moment you begin petting him he becomes a purr machine! His previous owner said he is a super snuggle bug, and the perfect combination "of everything good"! He's sweet but not overly demanding, and mellow - as opposed to his brother who wants to be the center of attention! Just give him time to adjust and he should be just fine!

Luckily, the majority of their growing is done, though they'll fill out a bit more. They are shepherd/hound mixes who were found in someone's backyard down in Texas - we're so glad they're safe with us and ready for loving homes! Pecan is a goofy boy who loves to give kisses!
Family Tour

Everyone who lives there took care of her, so it's no surprise they wanted a better life for her - which is why she's with us now! Stormy is a little shy when you first meet her; she's still getting used to indoor life. But she loves being pet and according to the people who cared for her, she not only gets along with other cats, but dogs as well!
Our Fur-less Family
Our sweet Princesa is looking for a new home! At only 6 months old, will you commit to loving her forever? Princesa was adopted from us as a young kitten, but her adopter brought her back because she was scratching the furniture.
But he seems to love everyone he meets, and likes the company of the other cats in his free roam room. Come meet Seal and give him his forever home! Just fill out an adoption questionnaire at /adopt.

Hans came to us through no fault of his own; his owners were going through some medical things, and were no longer able to care for him. He's about 6 1/2 years old and 80 lbs, and is so smart - he knows sit, stay, and so much more! Hans is such a special boy, he'd love to be the only pet in your home!

This cute little guy is Luca, and in case you couldn't tell, he can't WAIT to meet you! Luca is about 3 years old and originally hails from down south, but another rescue brought him up to NJ for his second chance! We're so lucky to have this cute guy, but we know you're going to fall in love when you meet him!
She has SO much fun playing with them, and is great at catching them in the air! We know you love a London Boy, but our sweet London is a girl, and she's looking for her forever home! London is about 3 years old and came to us from another rescue. She's previously lived with older kids and cats, and we think she'd do great in most homes! She has a silly side here - she likes to burrow under blankets as though she were playing hide and seek!
To meet him, just fill out an adoption questionnaire at /adopt. Our beautiful Bessie came to us through no fault of her own; now, she's looking for her forever home! 3 year old Bessie was found emaciated as a stray. Despite all she's been through, Bessie is sweet, quiet, and enjoys peoples' company!
But based on how friendly he is, he must have belonged to someone! Only about 2 years old, he seems to love everyone he meets! He's a very sweet boy who would fit in great in most homes! We are looking for VERY special adopters for some very special kitties! Cookie and her friend Grumpy have been through so much, we want them to have the most amazing forever homes to live out their lives!
Take a look at all of the animals who have already made their way through our doors into their forever homes. Every single animal that comes into Father John's is medically, physically, and mentally cared for as much as we possibly can. Here at The Gentle Barn, kids gain an understanding of animals, see how much we all have in common, and get to expand their empathy for all living beings. Please click OK below and a new tab will open where you can sponsor a pet’s care. This is a kid-friendly and pet-friendly event!
This sweet boy is looking for his forever home! Candy Cane is just under a year old, and came to us from an overcrowded shelter in NY. We don't know his history, other than that he came to that shelter with a pellet in his leg that had to be removed. We can only imagine what this poor boy went through, but now he is safe, happy and healthy and just needs a forever home to complete his happy ending! This handsome boy would fit in great with most homes! He enjoys attention and enjoys being around people.
